stupid spark plug question:

so i'm all set to change my plugs tommorrow, but i have one question:

when you remove the valve cover to change the front three plugs, is there a gasket around that particular part of the valve cover?

I don't think there is because the valves are actually under the part where the plugs are. Just asking because if so, i guess i have to get a new gasket on top of which......

And it's not a valve cover, it's bolted to the valve cover. The cover you take off is the front bank coil pack's cover. I hate when people call it a valve cover!

The anti-seize is suppose to prevent the plugs from getting stuck or messing up the threads.

Well, the valves aren't under that cover that you're taking off now is it?? =P There are sparkplugs under there. So it's the sparkplug cover. But the valves are under the metal that the sparkplugs screw in to. That's the valve cover.

just like you should unplug the battery before working near the fan, or let the engine cool down before taking off the radiator cap, or give it a while before working with exhaust components? Yeah, i kinda know. thanks anyway.

well, technically, the valves are under there, just not directly under there.
