stupid spark plug question:
stupid spark plug question:
so i'm all set to change my plugs tommorrow, but i have one question:
when you remove the valve cover to change the front three plugs, is there a gasket around that particular part of the valve cover?
I don't think there is because the valves are actually under the part where the plugs are. Just asking because if so, i guess i have to get a new gasket on top of which......

And it's not a valve cover, it's bolted to the valve cover. The cover you take off is the front bank coil pack's cover. I hate when people call it a valve cover!

tom, on any car i've ever dealt with, that part is the valve cover. sorry for driving you crazy with my non-mechanic vocabulary......
Well, the valves aren't under that cover that you're taking off now is it?? =P There are sparkplugs under there. So it's the sparkplug cover. But the valves are under the metal that the sparkplugs screw in to. That's the valve cover.
