I have a 95 SE...and I just wanted to know....
Is there a difference and if so where is the air flow meter located and is it an expensive part with regards to buying it and labour at the mechannic?...any help with this is appreciated

 

The real name is MAF Sensor(Mass Air Flow Sensor. So what your asking to compare is the same thing. Is your dead? There aren't many aftermarket MAF's available. And the ones that are available are only see substaintial gains under boost. As for the labour, $0. This is something I can do with my eyes closed in 5 min.

 

Also MAFS are interchangeable throught the 4th gens. If you need one try

1000 Bucks!?! omg thats one of the biggest ripoffs ive heard in a long time.

 

I had mine off saturday cleaning the throttle body.. It is very easy to take off and replace..

 

Yeah but they are a pretty pricey part. I don't think there are any aftermarket MAFs for the max. JWT has 300zx and cobra MAFs but those aren't exactly aftermarket.
