I keep the jumper cables in the spare tire well at all times. I don't have a subwoofer box and amps in the trunk now but even when I did, I always carry jumper cables. But that's just me.

Someone please explain how this works. A cable runs from the buttom forward through the door and gromet and then back. That seems very ineffecient/heavy/costly. Or is the button in a different place.

Also, why is it an issue how often you put something in your trunk? Keyless trunk actuators come stock or is that only GLE/SE.

For the body color paint, can I just use touch-up paint (from the dealer??)?

actully, it could be a pretty big issue if your jumper cables are in the trunk and you have a subwoofer box so you couldnt get to them or the latch from the inside...

oh, and my GXE has an electric button, not a cable i didnt even know any maximas came with cable release for the trunk...
