Yeah, I have a garage, but I have to drive my car so I can get around therefore it gets dirty I really can't wash it because it will become entombed in ice since the highs in the daytime are only around 5-12 degrees.

I had the tails smoked then went to the redded out ambers with smoked reverse lights, but after about 6 months I decided the ambers looked better smoked on my black car.

The reason I don't like Nite Shadz is because it seems to look really flat and it's not near as translucent as the Japanese tailight paint.

that does make sense it just seems to be a running theme that the more east you go, the less garages there are. my buddy in rhode island (ReDMaX99SEL) had 3 maxes are once, doing work on all of them, no garage

Here are some pics of the tails. The picture was taken at 800am which is the brightest part of the day. I cleaned off the salt best I could:

Dave, car is nice and im gonna try to do what u did with the taillights. I was so desperate i was thinking of buying LED G2 light for the 97-99 and only using the outer light while deep tinting the inner. You have given me hope for a cheaper and better alternative. However, you need some different rims, something more out, maybe even chrome.

I love my rims because they're light and sit perfectly flush with the fenders. As for chrome, the wheels are a satin finish and if you didn't know that, you'd think they were polished because they shine so brightly.

Ouch, those dont look like they have enough paint to give that "black out" look. Did you try maybe giving them one more layer so you cant see and red? Or did you personally do them that way by choice?

Either way, its different...like my tails. And its nice seeing more people do different and unique mods to their taillights...

So you still have the orange in the tails? Or is it redded out?

If I applied this stuff, then applied a layer or two of clearcoat, would that hinder my abilty to remove the paint and stuff?

BTW, you should get your old blacked out clear corners back in...those are awesome on your car. And like you said, you should do the AE headlight mod. I'm looking around to see how I can do it with the Cefiro headlights...

It looks like you painted those way too dark making them extremely illegal, and dangerous(night or day).

Na, that's just the 8am sun glaring into the lenses. It's a lot darker in person. Here's another view on a pretty sunny day, but with 3pm light:

Believe me, they're plenty dark.

Look at his grille. Just wondering, does anybody know how much exact weight savings the 97-99 plastic lights save over the glass 95/96.

He's from the same area as me, he had red/clears. So I'm just guessing he used them for this. Unless he went and used a old set of stock tails.
