after stuck in ice going from Drive to Reverse back to drive several times i got out the ice. My car felt like it was taking off on 2 or 3 gear instead of 1st and on the highway i'm going 50 mph @ 3000 rpms. pressing the OD on and off nothign happened. I was running on like 3 gears i guess. I was 58 miles heading back home so i drive like 45 mph cuz at 5am i wasnt trying to get stuck. I got home shut it off, starting it back right away and my od light flashes for like 5 sec. and goes away. I put the car in gear and it takes off like it usually does. Switches smoothly thru all the gears. I never had a prob. with my tranny, but why did it do that?

It mostlikly went into "Fail-Safe" mode. More details are in your owners/maintence manual. I think there is some info in the FAQ's tooo.

Mine did that to last snow storm we got and i got the low line pressure code and now once in a while it revs after it shifts, mostly going into 4th, but nowone can find anything wrong with it so??? maybe solenoids going bad??
