changing washer nozzles with better ones?

I have a 99 SE and have always hated the washer nozzles on the car.
The fact that they just shoot up single sprays annoys me.
My wife's Outback has a lot nicer hood nozzle that sprays much more evenly and better.

Has anyone changed or found another hood nozzle that works better than the 4th generation washer nozzles and would work on our hoods. (I tried to see if the Outbacks work but they are a little smaller and don't fit the hole very well.)

Thanks for any help.

Tom

check these ones out - i bet they'd fit, and if you look at them, it looks like it sprays a flat even spread

That's a good question...I wonder if washer nozzles are pretty much interchangeable between manufacturers or models.

I'd like to know if that is true.

slfalco- You are right, mine does have that also but they shoot four streams of fluid but they don't seem to cover much of the windshield. With all the salt deposited on the windsheild during this time of year, the nozzles aren't doing a great job. I've even adjusted them several times.

onetoughmax- thanks, I'll check them out.

That's the other thing, I don't like the lights on the nozzles. Plus they are illigal to have in PA. A friend of mine is a cop and I know I won't hear the end of it from him. He still is giving me grief for tinting the windows and that was almost 5 years ago.

Thanks though.

I wondered the same thing you are... My dad's grand cherokee has some really good windshield washer nozzles, they span across the windshield, not two streams of washer fluid.

When I get the chance to go to a junkyard, I will have to try, unless someone else has and knows whether this will definitely or definitely not work...

Thanks.
