yes header wrap is HOW you fix it. period. that is the answer and we don't need 8 more posts in this thread about it. buy it at any local shop.

yes it will work. some people only wrapped the flex section (like me) and fix most of the rattling/bees sound. and some people wrapped the entire y-pipe. it's really up to you.

i recommend design engineering inc. exhaust wrap. they have local retailers around the nation. you can pick it up from there. their exhaust wrap is quality proven. here's the web site >> http://www.designengineering.com/

i believe nismo is having some header wrap for sale under the general maxima section. go check that out too.

I dont know if your city goes salt crazy on those stormy Toronto days but I would definatly not want to wrap my entire y-pipe b/c of the crazy amounts of salt / mud / slushy snow that would accumilate and work its way into the heat wrap then into the y-pipe just to sit there and get nice'n'toasty then cool down and repeat untill finally it rusts off and....you get what im trying to say....

My honest opinion, keep heat wrap up in the engine away from where it can get wet all the time unless you live in Texas or Cali were it dont snow...again this is only my opinion....do what you like......

I wouldn't reccomend wrapping the whole pipe. That's going to cause more heat inside the pipes. Just wrap the flex section making sure that the wrap overlaps onto the pipe a bit to cover the seams/welds.

Does this problem happen with all for the y-pipes? Or just the cheaper ones like Warpspeed and Budget

Ahhmmm, My aluminum warpspeed does not make any noise exept a nice low rumble, I think it has to do with installation and bending of the flex section, which might cause a leak and cause "hissing". It also might have to do with improper installation or a screw coming loose maybe?

dumbass thats the point of wrapping your pipes. you keep them hotter which means: hotter gasses, faster exhaust flow, more performance. thats why people use header wrap not to eliminate noises.

The wrap keeps the gasses hotter, allowing them theoretically to flow out faster. But it also makes the metal much hotter, which is why the wrap voids Cattman's and Warpspeed's warrenties. Dallas at WSP told me that his pipes don't his because they have a lined flex section which takes care of that noise...all his pipes are lined now, but I'm not sure if they always were.
