Need help installing new gauges on a 95 GXE

I started working on installing the gauges using the instructions from maximadriver.com and I didn't get past step 2. I removed the 2 screws under the steering colum and then it said to remove the plastic cover under the steering colum...it dosen't come out. It's like somethings holding it, but I can't find any screws or anything, can I get some help or some instructions from a 95 install...?

I'm about to install my indeglow gauges from southwest in a couple weeks on my 95 GXE too. I'm interested in finding out if you are sucessful in the project or if anybody has any 95 GXE specific information that I can use. Thanks.

There are more screws your haven't taken out....I had the same problem.

I bet you missed two towards the front of the steering wheel, take another look.

on the bottom there are 4 screw. 2 the cover that is under the steering wheel. the tp comes off rather easy but the botton is hooked onto the steering wheel shaft. when you get the scrws removed just pull it hard downwards and it will come one. you will not hurt anything. indiglo install is mighty easy ones you get in there and know what ou are doing,
