CEL = Check Engine Light, which is a big misconception. We should say SES because SES = Service Engine Soon light, which is what Maximas have.

My car has been missfiring for about two weeks now, thanks to this post I know what it is. The funny thing is that it kicked up CEL, and it read:
Random misfire, I guess I have to replace all of them at once. Which ones should I get? Does anybody have any preference or place to buy them? Thanks

Thanks to all who pointed me to the links to do this and for verifying parts and giving me the confidence to do this job. I saved $200-$400 over what mechanics wanted to charge me, plus I got a new ratchet set as well.

My next project is to replace some belts that are squeaking when I start the car with a cold engine. The mechanic said he would charge $150 for that. Bah!

Gotta question for you:

Now that your new coils are in, if you put your car in PARK, can you feel the engine idling? Or is it silky smooth with no vibration <as it was when it was brand new>? Also how does it sound at idle?
