Reading ECM outputs and Lazy coil pack

This last weekend, I tried to figure out a hiccuping engine. I ordered two coil packs (left and right) from http://www.nissan-auto-parts.dealer.com , and attempted to switch them around, finding the hiccuping coil pack. Didn't fix it.

I already checked the resistance of all six injectors...and they all read anywhere from 11-11.3.

So after some hair twisting, I decided to try and get a little bit more technical. I went out and bought a fancy multimeter/ohmmeter from radioshack. This thing has an rs-232 output and accompying software to read and graph data in real-time on a PC. So I broke out the laptop, hooked it up, and attempted to read the DC ECM outputs for coil packs and fuel injectors as per the FSM. As you can imagine, I wasn't successful, because the tester could only be polled in 1s increments...which is completely useless for this type of app. So I returned it, and got my money back 2 hours later.

So one question is...short of a full-blown oscilliscope...anyone recommend something that can be hooked up (preferably cheap) to a PC to read voltage patterns of fuel injectors or coil packs?

Second question. I retested all coil packs. I found these readings:
Resistance Reading / Cyl No.
1.47 / 2
1.37 / 4
1.51 / 6 NEW
1.33 / Not in car anymore - OLD

1.46 / 1
1.42 / 3 NEW
1.44 / 5
1.48 / Not in car anymore - OLD

Maybe Cyl 3 Coil pack is lazy? Any experience on resistance readings with coil packs here?

Help! I kinda feel dumb already throwing money at this problem. I don't want to continue throwing money at it. Thanks. '95 Max with 235K miles with no trouble codes.
