Well on the fronts you can jackup the car on the front cross-memeber and then put the jackstands up where the jacks normally go. On the back I BELIEVE u can use the rear beam as a jack point dont quote me.

Well, if you're gonna have the calipers off for a while, I'd just jack it up, remove the calipers and put the wheels back on. I don't like leaving my car up on jack stands for long periods of time.

As for where to put the jack stands...I put them where I put my scissor-jack...on that little ledge.

When i was doing my under car neon i put my jackstand under the car towards the middle there is this big bump under the body which holds the car well. my car was on there for a couple days with no problem. The jack stands fit right in.

For the rear, you can support the car from the beam axle.

yea but make sure u put the jack stands right under where the struts are connected, if u put them in the middle u could bend the beam.

I dont think i will be able to use the beam axle...after I take the weight off the ground the struts will be fully compressed and I dont think the wheel will come off and be able to work on it...I guess ill see when I go to do it...

Do NOT use lower points in this picture. I did, and my 'beam' that runs the length of the car caved in, pushing my floorpan up. I couldn't tell you about the top points...

I would use the jack-point on the center crossmember to lift the car, and place the jack stands where you normally place the scissor jack. For the rear, use the center axle-guard and again...put the jackstands where the scissor jack goes.

I did the same thing. That "beam" is softer than szhit!! Wonder if it messed anything up?

I lift the front with the engine crossmember and then put the stands where you put the stock jack, I've never had a problem bending any metal. if you wanted to you could get a piece of a 2/4 and cut a groove in it to slip over that lip. as for the bad I lift from the middle of the beam and put the stands on the beam out towards the wheels.

Do you guys have jack stands that have the same type of top as the scissor jack...i.e. a plate with the cutout in the middle for that flange (kind of like a U so that it rests on both sides of the flange), or are you just putting the jackstands on the inside or outside of that flange?

As for jacking up the car, in the front, I beleive it's the engine crossmember. It's right in the center of the car under the engine. You have to get the jack pretty far under, but you should see where it goes.

As for the rear, hmmm...I'm pretty sure we've jacked up the whole back of the car with the jack in the center of the beam, but that's a good point about stressing the center of the beam too much. Where else can you use a single jack for the entire rear of the car though? As for jackstands...I would do the same thing as the front...put them in the scissor jack locations: then you can lower the jack and let the axle down to be able to get the wheels off.

First of all, using the 2x4 boards is a good idea always. You don't want all that weight on a little 2" spot of the jackstand. I just found some wood sitting around...4" or more....and used it to buffer the jack stand tip and the car bottom. On the front, there are two spots I used almost directly behind where the mud flaps would go if you had them. In fact, I had to move over that little rubber piece that is stock to put the jack stand there.

On the rear, you should be able to find this one all right. I don't think it should cause any problems, because if you go to a shop to get something done , they use one of those lifts that you put the arms of it out in kind of an "X" sometimes. Ya know what I am talking about? Anyway, almost directly behind where you put the OEM jack on the rear, is a little metal spot with a tiny hole cut out of it. It looks to me where the car gets a lot of its structural integrity from. Anyway, use the same small board on top of the jack stand(to distribute the weight), and jack away.
