My oil light just came on(i hadnt changed the oil in a while) so it was time for an oil change. I changed the oil and the oil light still comes on. It will go away for periods of time but then will come on again. The car isnt leaking any oil(checked it out). Is there another reason this light is comming on? The light wont stay completely solid, it will fade then come on, after a while it starts to fade away. thanx

 

Thats the oil pressure light. Better get it checked out. Could be a malfunctioning sensor, or you've got a bad oil pump (bad bad bad)

 

I used to have the same problem. In my case it was a failed oil pressure swicth. Had it replaced and the oil pressure light has never turned on ever since.
