'96 Maxima, 5 speed

After a long ride, about an hour, the clutch slips severely and gradually degrades to the point of total slippage (no go). Short local rides are OK.

After letting the car sit for an hour or more the clutch regains its use and feels fine.

Anyone have this experience?

Also, any references to Orange County, CA mechanics that are capable of working on this problem would be appreciated.
