Passenger door lock sticking, won't lock
Hello. I found your site browsing Google. Seems like this is the site to be on if you own a Maxima. Well my wife does. She has a 96'
The problem that just started last week is when she goes to lock the door with the inside driver side door lock, the front passenger door look won't go in all the way and lock the door. Seems like it gets hung up right before it goes in flush with the door. I've changed a regulater in one of here rear doors and that was no problem but when I tried to take the door panel off on the front pass door the plastic flange behind the lever/lock seems to be attached to the door. I don't want to break it. I dont see any screws holding it on. Is the back side of that plastic flange clipped to the main door. Will a good yank on it free it. If I can just get into the door I should be able to see what's holding up the mechanisim up. Has anyone had this problem.. Thanks for the help... Hiker
