HELP! failed emissions!!!!!

2 yrs. engine light has been on, nissan said its an emissons knock sensor blah blah blah ($500+ to fix). never did it. Now where i live they inspect for emissions and i failed. a few things:

they gave a list to and highlighted some things to name a few.
int air temp sen (0401)
knock sensor (0304)
purg volume cont/v (1008)
rear O2 sensor (0707)

ARE THESE THINGS EXPENSIVE TO FIX? i'll be damned if i'm taking my car to Nissan to spend $500 some dollars.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fix any faulty O2 sensors and the the int air sensor first. If that doesn't work you may have bigger problems than your money wants to know about.

dayam doode..

you must not rilly care bout your car.. engine like for 2 YEARS?.. thas real serious.. if i were you.. id take care of that **** right quick.. maybe the car will perform a hell of a lot better.. you can opt. to do it yourself.. check around the .org to find how to do thos.. like 02 sensor .. air temp sensor.. and knock.. dont kno about the purge volume cont/v.. but the other 2 things arent too hard to do.. fairly easy.. the air temp and the 02 are easy.. the knock sensor is a pain in the ***.. jus search around for parts.. you can find them at decent prices.. then maybe youll pass emissions and have better running car..

the 02 sensor might be causing the knock sensor to trow a CEL, fix the O2 sensor first. Do you have an intake? Because that could be the source of the air intake temp sensor. The sensor it self should be pretty close to the filter, make sure it's there or still in your engine bay.

what kind of gas mileage have you gotten in the past 2 years...

preventive maintainence is not a suggestion.
