Just put my Nissan tip on (got a new muffler), and apparently you don't need to weld it, just have to bang the sucker on there.

Please let me know if I'm a retard and I actually do have to weld it (I'm pretty sure you don't).

Anyone else have experience putting on a Nissan chrome tip? (they call it a "finisher")

 

I don't think you should have to bang anything. there should be a nut and bolt on the bottom of the tip that you can loosen and then tighten back around the muffler. Tell me if this is so. If so, should be really easy to adjust it.
