I just did a search of oil filters on this site and everyone basically use oem or other filters, instead of fram filters. I always thhought that they were the best but I have about 100 miles before my next oil change. I have decided to switch back to oem filters. should i wait 1000 miles or change it know. i have been using 5w30 mobil 1 tr- synthenic so i don't what to change it after 2000 miles. I can't decide on this please help me decide!!! thanks...

There is no urgency. The Fram filter is regarded by some as substandard but not likely to have a catastrophic failure (burst shell, etc.). Just wait until the next regularly scheduled oil change.

Worried....

If you're that worried about it, just change the filter and *** the 1/2 quart (or whatever your manual says thet oil filter takes). That way you keep your expensive Synthetic in the engine while only having to add a smidgen...

If you really that worry, just change the filter. The $4 spend will give you peace of mind.

BTW, I think Mobil 1 can last a lot longer than 3000 miles.

You are burning money if you change sythetic oil every 3,000 miles.
