Subframe Connectors
#2
do you already have the subframe connectors? They are an awesome mod, but most people say that it is not worth it beyond the Rear Sway Bar unless you auto Cross or something.
Plus, if you plan on lowering your car, it puts those dangerously close to scraping and messing something up. They become the lowest thing on your car.

SFCs won't mess anything up. They will scrape if your car is low but they are made of steel tubing, nothing is going to get messed up. The actually are a good protector if you already have a low car they will protect your exhaust from catching on things and ripping your exhaust off the manifolds.
SFCs are one of my favorite mods hands down. They make the car much more solid. I paid $250 to have mine installed and I think I am on the higher end of things, I've heard of some people paying $100.

I read alot about them, but does any org members actually have them on there cars? If so, did they notice a difference? I am considering them myself, but do not want to waste my money.

Yea, thats the problem, I read reviews also, especially from the Warspeed website. (I am sure they are not going to post any negative reviews.) But I would like to hear from any 4th gen owners that actually have them on their cars.

I've heard nothing but good things about them too. I dont really see any downside other than they sacrafice a little ride height but like someone said, it would be beneficial so you wont scrape any exhaust parts especially on a lowered car (or for you guys with neon tubes). I know Dave B has them and he loves them, so does Nealoc if IIRC. Most of the guys that have them are true enthusiasts when it comes to handling.

just to add to the thread.. I just got mine put on recently and I love them.. don't have an rsb so I can't comment on whether it's better over that or not, but the car is a lot more solid and just overall more fun..
as to the ny area install.. I think you posted this thread in the regional forum too.. and as I told the one there, take it to mufflex down in trenton area.. unless you have a good exhaust shop that you trust that has a good lift.. couldn't find any around me, so I went down there.. I think the install was like 150.. it all depends how long it takes them, since it was a labor only charge.. print out the instructions and take them to whatever shop you have do it

SFCs are definately tied with my MEVI/JWT ECU as my favorite mod. Not only do the SFCs improve handling, they improve the ride and dramatically increase the stiffness of the chassis. A stiffer chassis = a better ride because the suspension is allowed to do it's job. Take a ride in a 4th gen with SFCs over a bumpy surface then drive over the same surface in a 4th gen without SFCs. The difference is night and day.
