How do I program Key fob for my '97?

How do I program key fob for 4th generation?
I just bought a '97 SE and the guy had (2) keyless entry key fobs, but one doesn't work. I' afriad maybe he just let the battery die and it was no longer programed for that car. So I only have one that works, can anyoone help me out with this?
