I'm a noob to my car too. It's not as hard as you think. Don't let the rust on the screw stop you. Most of this stuff is easier than said. Just jack the car up and look were everything goes and fits. The exhaust is one of the easiest mods to bolt-on other than the intake.

I have a apexi ws full catback put on once i got the car. This thing is heavy, long and wide. If i were you, get a friend or two to help you with this project.

I am sure u have friends that can help u. It is much fun if u got someone that is relatively mechanical incline. Go buy a book and read up on it, see what u are capable of doin and u should be alright. have the right tools also, that is one of the most important part. if u keep up the monkey work, u should rise up in becoming a do it yourself auto modder. good luck.

I just paid to have mine done. $80 seems to high. It only took them 25mins to remove the stock one & put the new cat back on. They only charged $40 CAD, thats like $30 US. They' re going to install my y-pipe next week for $40.

I have the same question (kinda) I got a Budget Y-pipe on the way, a Random Tech. Hi-flow cat on the way and a greddy sp2 system coming as well. what problems will i run into installing my self and is the y-pipe more tricky than the exhaust its self. Also is any new hardware needed for these types of set ups Thanks for the help.

this stuff isn't too hard. DIY is the way to go. It saves money on something that you could do yourself. The y-pipe is alittle more frustrating to install because nissan puts bolts in ungodly places to unscrew. But dont sweat it! It's not something immpossible. It could be done in a couple of hours.

As for the hardware, everything should come with the parts. The y should come with 2 O rings and a gasket that goes between your y and cat. The catback should come with the necessary gaskets that go in between each pipe.
