I have an idea....can you put a little breather filter on......

i have a mid pipe that was made from peice of rubber. and like the do it yourself mid pip shows, you can do only two tubes and but a breather filter on the tube that is right on the engine( hope you know waht i mean).

when you make it you are left with 2 tubes. One is a little line and the other is a bigger one. The bigger one follows into the back of the engine bay. Could you put a breather filter on this?

reason i ask......i can get breather filter from my frien cause has acouple laying around. so no charge. and i want to make one out of 3inch exhust pipe. And if i only had to drill one hole for the barb sitting wouldn;t that make it a little easier and maybr create a better air flow cause you do nto hav to to worry about the larger opening.

just a thought that i might try.

No, you can't do that.

That is the tube to the idle air control valve. this must behooked up for the engine to run properly.

Even if you could, I wouldn't. That air is being ingested after the MAF, which means it is not being metered, which means, your engine is sucking in more air than the computer thinks, which means, it is running lean, quite possibly lean enough to cause enough heat to damage the engine.

I tried this once before I knew exactly what all that stuff did. Car wouldn't run. It'd start and immediately die. Live and learn.
