how dark to tint?
i have a forest green max... who has tinted windows? pics and % please...
i want it to look good, but i wanna be able to see at night and all that good stuff. plus my parents still drive it, and i dont want it to be so dark that theyre ****ed. im thinking 35% all around would be a good middle of the road tint...

first check on how dark you can get legally. like if your state laws are like NC's, 35% is the darkest legally, then your pretty much stuck at 35%. but if you can go as dark as you want i would get 20%. also make sure you get the same tint all around; different tint levels look terrible.

It's all about 10%. I had 20 % on my old max and I liked it but I regreted not getting the 10%. I have 10% now and I love it. You can still see ok at night. And man does it help. With 10% and a white car there is almost no heat in it. And I live in the middle of a desert.

I have 13% in the rear and 50% up front. The main reason I tinted the window was for my kids. My major concern was the ability to see at night while backing up. I can tell you that I do not have any problems seeing while I am backing out of my driveway at night. We did the same tint on our other car, a 2000 Civic EX. No problems there either, the only thing is that the front windows look darker on the Civic, probably because it is a smaller car with a darker interior.

You can see, because you have basicly no tint on your front windows, so you can look out at your mirrors with basicly no obstruction. I can't see very well behind me when backing out but rolling the window down fixes it completely.
