What will intake add??

I am installing a bomx intake onto my 97 maxima tomorrow and I am curios to know what I can honestly expect to achieve. What are some other easy upgrades I can do to make my Max all it can on a small budget

This is the reason I took mine off . Some people like the sound, for me it became a little bothersome.

i noctice tons more responce at highway speeds. and it picks uyp much quicker than stock on highway. My intake if it is not at WOT it is very quiet, but once it is it is loud *** all hell.

i like ti that way cause when i am at WOT i want it to sound s scary!

shorter piping = better throttle response...

i.e. (do the straw test, suck thru a normal straw, cut it in half, suck thru it again)

at least when i swapped from CAI to hybrid that's the first thing i noticed.

my BOMZ cai had the best low end, but it chokes after ~5000 rpm

My hybrid felt really good from 4500 rpm on

Now I have an Injen knockoff.. Haven't really had much time to go test it out.

Throtle response is better w/ my CAI than when I had the hybrid set-up, and tons better low-end then when I just had a pop charger. You do actaully get more power w/ it and the noise isnt unbarable unless your 40 and/or haulin around a family

Try your experiment again with a piece of 1/2" pipe; let me know how it turns out.
