Maxee's back ... back again ....

well guys and gals, after finally waiting all summer, fall and winter, I finally have the Max back from my brother, but w/ close to 105K on the odometer and the condition it was given to me, it's a far cry as to when I gave it back to him at 82K Fall '02

here are some pics of what my stupid-a$$ brother did to the outside

caution, to some these pics may be quite disturbing

I only looked at the first 4 pics, and l am sorry for you. I hope at the very least you realize that you should never lend your car to anyone ever again. If you do, you better get compensated for any damage when it is returned.

What did he do with the car anyway? Constantly drive right behind someone on a gravel road? Take the statement from Days of Thunder "Rubbings Racing"? If anyone did that to my car their would be hell to pay.

that's what I'm wondering myself, what he did to and where he went w/ it ... all I know is that when I got it back I took some carpet cleaner and cleaned the hell out of the mats and the carpets and so far the inside is starting to look and smell better ... too bad I can't say the same for the outside

I would make him pay. You can't just let him get away with doing all that. Good luck.

the VW dealer f*cked up his 1.8T motor on his Passat and they told him he needs a new motor. He didn't want to pay over $6K for a new 1.8T engine and he's been in a lawsuit not only w/ VW but w/ the dealer on this for a long time and w/o out any luck or response. However he found an import repair shop near my house and they got him a 1.8T motor out of an '02 Passat w/ only 28K on it and he paid $3K w/ a new battery included. His '01.5 Passat has close to 50K on it. Practically from Winter '03 until just recently, he's had the Max ... but doesn't matter now, I now have the Max and this'll be a nice side project getting her back to top form, maybe even some mods in the works, but slowly and surely

Welcome back ... I thought you'd gone Jeep.

See, its one thing to just not give a crap about your stuff and treat it like crap and not do regular maintence to it. (Yes imagine if he really did regular oil changes to the car, prolly some cheap **** oil anywayz if he did )

But its a whole new ball game to damage your family or friends stuff like that. Nobody borrows my car, because not a person in this world loves it more than me and will take care of it like me .

BTW keep that maxima and make your bro pay you 2k in damages from his lawsuit.

Proph

I know how it feels. Last time my bro drove my car he fried the clutch on it. Whata idiot but that gave me a reason to get a stage 2 in it!

If you loaned him the car just to be nice, and he didn't pay you, then I'd say he's morally obligated to pay for the damages! This is not wear & tear... This is outright damage!

I was gonna lend on of my cars to a friend's teenage son (a '95 Grand Prix) to get to school and work while his car was at the stealership with a problem they couldn't diagnose... She declined saying that she didn't trust him not to wreck it... Well, had it gone ahead I woudl have printed out the BlueBook value of the car and had her sign it was an agreed value of the car before the loan. I wouldn't have charged her for borrowing the car, but I would have made her agree to pay bodyshop repairs on, or purchase the car outright, if he damaged it. Turns out they fixed his car so she didn't need to borrow it after all.

to sum him up: Negligent!!

Let me get this straight.

You lent him your car to help him out.

Then he bead-blasts your car via high speeds on a gravel road behind a cement truck.

Helluva way to show his appreciation and lack of respect for anyone else’s property. Family or not, that is some messed up ****.

I hope you at least told him how much of an a-hole he looks like doing that.
