Throttle cable adjustment.
Throttle cable adjustment.
I noticed a bit of a snag on the throttle cables (which runs to the TB). Also noticed that at times, pushing down on the gas pedal requires more effort in a way where the throttle response doesn't kick in the moment the pedal is pushed, it seems to have a little play somewhere. Can anyone tell me of a quick fix to this and how to do it?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Good point and I was actually thinking about that. I just adjusted my idle speed a month ago so I certainly don't wanna throw that off by over-adjusting the throttle cable.
Also, I noticed that the plate (for a lack of a better word) that the cables are attached to, which pivots when you step on the gas pedal, is wobbly. The nut that holds it inplace is not loose, however, its rather tight. Any suggestions???

I recently did this on my 60K tune up. theres a link on how to do it in the faqs under the mantinence section. Dont over do it where your idle raises, just make it where you dont have slack in it. Mines was kinda loose so I made it snug and Its much better now more responsive now. I think the one on the right is for throttle and the one on the left is for cruise control.....
