Where do you put your Radar Detector?

I remember seeing a thread about this. I think I saw one pic with a detector above the rear view mirror. I'm just curious where ppl put theirs, and I'm also curious about how to hard wire mine. The cord hangs in front of the radio, which is kinda annoying. thanks

I slightly backed out the 2 bottom screws near the front of my detector and they perfectly fit into the resession on our serial numbers. It wedges just perfectly between the resession, and glass. No tape, velocro, etc. for me. Also, I like the VIN number area so it clears the wipers. And it is also easy to hide the cord if it is there. And yes I hard wired mine. Good luck.

my radar detector is on the left side of the wheel on the windshield, the cord goes forward&down and to the left into the side panel so you cant see it when you're in the car, only from the outside when u're standin in fron of the windshield

i put it in the middle of teh front winsheild. I ran the cord down by the clock so it goes behind the radio, and there is no cord in your way.

middle fo winshild i the best place cause cops put lasers in teh middle of your car.

put it on top left of my windshield behind my tint. the wire goes through my a-pillar, under my driver's carpet, and getting power source for my 1-4 12V splitter under my seat, which also supplies my neons. see sig.

used to have it right in the middle of the windshield, maybe a lil less than 3/4 up. I moved it 6 inches or so to the left so I can see it by just glancing instead of having to move my head. Hate having to take my eyes off the road for too long.

From what I have read on some instructions for placement, it says to put it as low on your windshield as you can...
