stereo problem is out of control

Ok, so now my stereo ('96 se, bose cd) is doing the weirdest thing yet (feel free to look at my other posts on my struggle with my Bose system): When I turn my car on the stereo does not work at all. So I have to disconnect the negative battery cable, then reconnect it, restart the car (obviously), then it works. Once it is going though it works just fine. Any ideas?

If your clock goes out with the stereo, there is obivously an internal problem with the system.
