Dash lights out

I have a '97 Maxima SE and when I bought it, there are no lights on any of the buttons for the heating/cooling system. The display of temp. and the guy in the seat work fine, but none of the buttons are backlit, so I have to feel around for them at night. I am assuming their are lights for them. How many would I have to change. Is it just one?

did you check your dimmer switch? look at the fuse map layout wear your left knee is near the lower dash when sitting down. there are a few random ones, check them out. i saw a post where some guys dimmer switch was melting behind and caused the problem too.

I have this problem too. I checked the fuse and it's fine. I'm not gonna check all the wires cuz it's not really that big of a problem
