Hello everyone! I was just wondering if it is possible to install an 98and up I30 steering wheel into a 98 Maxima? I love the wood it has on the top of the loop. Thanks

strange,

My 98 I30T,which has every single option including wood trim does not have a wood steering wheel on it. I have never seen any I30 wheels with wood on it,maybe the 2K+ ones have it. I know that my 98 I30 wheel looks the same as a 98 maximas steering wheel,exept for the Infiniti logo smack dab in the middle of it. If you did decide to swap your wheel you would have to do air bag surgery and that my friend can be expensive, dangerous and in some cases agaist the law.

I was pretty sure I saw one the other day out side a restaurant, I migt be wrong, but I'm sure it wasn't a 2k up model. What gives??? anyway, to say it was from a 2k up model, could I do a swap?

It was probably just some type of a kit and not actually the wheel it's self. If it was 2K+ I30 then I don't know if the wheel would fit because there may be some new type of airbag systems in or something. I know you can buy cheesy steering wheel covers that have wood,so maybe that's what you saw?

The wood/leather steering wheel comes standard with the 99 I30 Limited model. I think it was exclusive to the Limited model at that year.

its gonna cost you a lot if you can find that wheel because you need to buy the airbag inside as well

i was on ebay and i saw this 99 limited i30 for sale, looks pretty damn sweet, and i love that color, anyways, here's the link, just scroll down for the pic:

Thanks for the imput, I think I'm gonna pass on this mod, I rather get some other interior mods, and yea I does look pretty dam sweet. I wish I had an I30
