Ticking noise from engine is killing my battery
This ticking noise stays on after I turn off the car and take the key out of the ignition. It will only stop ticking after I disconnect the neg. terminal from the battery. If I dont disconnect the battery and let the ticking noise continue, it will eventually kill my battery.
The noise is ticking somewhere around the back of the engine, but it can be trace to the relay box#2(the one in the front Right of the engine if your standing in front facing the car) it looks like the EGI relay its ticking.
any suggestions?
thanks

i have seen many many cars that have a relay that sticks open... this will cause the relay to keep ticking (its trying to close) which is drawing battery power... and yes it can solve the problem...
relays go for about 3-8$, any auto parts store (just bring the old relay with you) its most likely a bosch style relay, relays should never be more then 8$ or so max... hope this helps bud, lemme know what you find out..
btw.. is the sound coming from the fuse box/relay center?
