Best Intake for an Autotragic
I want to install an intake on my '96 GLE
Which intake is the best mix of
- ease of install
- price/quality
- least low RPM torque loss
I've looked on Ebay, and all I see are CAI intakes with cheap cone filters that require you to cut through the fender
Any suggestions/links would be appreciated
Thanks,
-Matt

Stock, stock, stock!
That is it!
If you want cheap, and no low end loss, you need to stay with stock. You could hack the airbox, however. Look in the "how-tos" at the sticky at the top and see how. It is pretty much the general consensus that if you want to keep the throttle response at low as best as possible, stick with what the Nissan designers came up with.

i bought the ebay rip off frankencar, the thing works awesome for me. maybe a little low end loss but who can really tell anyway. its the loudest intake ive ever heard at WOT. cost me 35 shipped (picked up a new filter though since the one they provided was total crap

intake
go with a hacked airbox if you feel like you have to mod it in some way but other than that just stick with stock and buy a K&N....and if you want aftermarket intake noise dont worry hacking you airbox will accomplish this for you
