MIdpipe

What would removing the resonator and adding a custom mid pipe to the stock intake acheive?

Louder sound under WOT. Maybe 1-2HP gain but don't bet the farm on it.

it will also put more gunk inside yout intake manifold (it comes from that hose from the front cylinder bank, i believe), unless you use a breather filter.

This has been addressed with some testing. I think it was Dave B, he tested different intake setups and concluded that the midpipe hinders throttle response. His theory is that the box holds air and helps initial acceleration. I have used/made 3 midpipes and cant tell any differences between them and a stock resonator performance wise. But I can tell you the sound is so much louder, deeper, and IMO better. For the sound reason alone I use a midpipe.

wow i was thinking of doing the same thing yesterday but couldn't find all my screws , gona do it tomoro.

Im gona use my mid pipe with the stock box . I think I will get the high flow of the mid pipe but the air will stay cooler cause of the stock box. It seems like it would work great

I thought of this cause i remeberd the hot summer days were the short ram was just not doing its job.

Any one got any idea/opinion?
