OK so I say the heck with the arguing since its not getting us anywhere. So I go to the contour.org website and some guy is saying that a maxima with nitrous cant even beat a mustang. Please people help me out here.

here you go: this guy was on slicks so he got me out of the hole real bad. but i reeled him in. (you have to turn up the brightness on windows media player or whatever you're using to be able to see anything).

Why did he have slicks on the street? Where I am from those are illegal for street use.

 

Well, that is a very general statement. What year Mustang r u referring to? How much of a NOS shot r we talking about here? What year Maxima?

IMHO a stock 5-speed newer Max (2k plus) will keep right up with a stock 96-98 Mustang GT 5-speed anyways, or VERY close, so of course a NOS'd newer Max is gonna romp on a stock 96-98 Stang GT. After all, these year Stang's only run high 14's stock at best with a manual tranny anyways, let's not even talk about the auto trannies! 99+ GT's are a tougher win. Stock 5-speed 99+ GT's r running 14 flat 1/4's, lightly modded mid 13's, not bad at all IMHO. Still, add a good NOS shot to a 5-speed Max and I'm guessing you guys are in the high 13's right?? Still, to play fair, mod the Stang GT equally and you're still running behind him in the 1/4!

We have a guy who's run either a 50 or 75 shot of NOS on a Contour SE 5-speed with I/E work and he ran a 13.8 1/4 IIRC, so I'm assuming u guys can top that with the stronger V6...

yes, but street racing is also illegal, so if he's street racing already, i really don't think he cares.
