Idle Problems w/Injen Intake
Hello All:
I have had my injen intake on my 95 Max for 2yrs. Recently, I had my mechanic (not Nissan) do a tune-up and my car now lopes periodically when idling at traffic lights. Took it to Nissan and they say it may be due to a crack and relocation of the Mass Airflow Sensor on the intake. They said the MAS was cracked so they replaced it. Very expensive and car still lopes.
This is the first time this problem is occurring. I have had the intake a while now with no problems. By the way, plugs were replaced with OE NGK laser platinums and correctly gapped/torqued. Any ideas?
please help

As far as I know (I may be wrong, so some correct me if I am), the MAF sensor may be mounted ANYWHERE in the intake so long as it can get an accurate reading, usually it get's mounted right behind the intake cone on a hybrid setup, on the Injen I don't remeber off the bat where it's mounted. How drastic is the loping of your idle, from what rpm to what rpm? Where is your MAF sensor located? Check for any debris inside the MAF (it's new, but check just to be on the safe side). Also, when was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Good luck, Eddie
