LOL I didn't even see that slur of words. I must have missed it. The M3 GTR, is a Factory BMW race car. The chassis is all tubular, and has port holes down the A pillars to save even more weight. There is no interior (obviously) and the motor has been massaged to over 450HP.

The car was actually band from racing because it was so good. Why are you comparing european cars anyhow? As I said before, I'm a BMW technician and have a love for those cars, as well as Porsches.

i really hate to do this, because i have owned and driven american cars for 5 years up to about 3 months ago. i bought my maxima b/c i totaled my last car and maximas are an overall cheap and fun car to have.
dont get me wrong, but yes, american muscle will always be the champion of the quarter mile and it will probaly always be that way until pigs learn to fly. but there is one problem in that, that quarter mile today almost doesnt mean $hi*, its all about the track now, and no matter how much yall whine and complain, imports will always out handle a domestic car.
in my life i have been lucky enough to have gotten to drive some of the fastest american cars and even some of the fastest domestic cars, and when it comes down to it, american cars are ALMOST always goin to when on a straight away, but not always.
and yes american cars do produce high HP, but have yall num nuts never heard of a supra, last time i looked the turboed supras came stock with 300+ hp and people were gettin over 800rwhp, so american cars arent the only ones capable of high outputs.

hmmm..........that could be a lot of things, but the best advice i can give you for that is to keep it simple first, as in test all the cheap things to fix before you get into the big stuff, but yea i love havin the 5-speed, makes driving so much funner. but i have had a random delay inpower almost in second and third gear inbetween 3500-5500.

and by the way, major congrats on the engine swap, had to of made a big difference

Check any F-body forum. You will find nothing but respect for it. Supras are badass cars. The only thing you'll find that we have negative to say about them is that the IRS they have makes it VERY difficult for them to hook at the dragstrip.

About the passenger window thing, what I meant was that they knew I was going to take the corner fast, but didn't anticipate the amount of grip the car had. I don't just rip the steering wheel to one side, like you said, you could do that in any car.

Don't make a statement about your car, someone you know, or even a story you heard and compare it to the data a company such as Consumer Reports provides. Just because you car hasn't had problems, doesn't mean all cars like yours are the same way. It's just not a valid argument.

If you like your car such as a camaro, vette, TA, etc., fine. However, it isn't practical. It may be a great car on the track, but the last time I checked we drive on roads with elements such as speed limits, pot-holes, poor drivers, etc. You cannot deny that your "track cars" are'nt practical. They are good at one thing: going fast. An M3 (practical sports car) compared to a ZO6 (just plain sports car) are comparable only by price. With the M3, you can have your cake and eat it too. If your happy with a car with no back seat, a cheap interior, few options (but it goes fast!), good for you! I demand more out of a car than just getting from point A to point B fast. This is precisely why I bought a maxima in the first place. It's utilitarian.

I don't try to bash, I attempt at all times to present a valid argument backed up by real, factual data. If we all attempted to do this, a thread like this would not have constant posts of people bashing other people. Present your argument, and leave it at that. Calling each other a ********** doesn't get anything accomplished except ****ing off the other party. In fact, it makes you look like an idiot! Sometimes when I get into disscussions like this with people and rip their argument apart using evidence (not opinions or theories), they start changing the subject and calling me names. Sound familiar? To me, that is the sign that you lost. Try this, if your argument sucks, go educate yourself further about the topic and come back. Guido, please explain how an M3 is more practical than a T/A or Camaro. Other than the M3 having a trunk instead of a hatch, I can't see it. I can fit all my groceries in my Camaro just fine. Both use premium gas. Gas mileage is similar with the slight edge going to the F-body, especially the M6 cars. Not to mention the costs of servicing an M3 vs. the costs of servicing a GM car. Everyone knows domestic parts are MUCH cheaper.
