Proper tool to remove airbag locking bolts
im in the process of replacing my whole dash and the only problem im seeing is getting the security bolts off of the airbags. I guess i need a torx tamperproof bit to get them out. Now i thought it was a standard torx design with a nub sticking out in the middle. But maybe not????
so i went to the dealer today to get replacements and this is what they gave me.
It does not look like a standard type but more like a lock for wheels. Where can i go and get the tool to get these screws in and out?

For my 3-gen. It was a torx but it had a round stud in the middle. The autostore amazingly had these sockets in stock. Try searching on the web for security torx bits. See if you see any with this shape. Sears might have them and you should have a Sears nearby.

ok the dealer gave me the wrong type, but what is the size of the torx bit that i need to remove the ones i have in there? Its some thing like t-40 or t-50, but i need the exact number.
