My power antenna stop working 2 days ago The motor still works but the antenna wont go all the way up. Is this something that can be fixed or do I have to buy another antenna and motor. If it can be fixed someone please post a "how to". thanks and sorry if this has been asked b4 but I dont have time to do a search right now.

Cleaning the mast off may work. Don't use any lubricants- the mast should be dry and clean of any dirt or grease. You probably will have to replace the mast which is real simple. I bought my new mast at Pep-Boy's and it had the instructions on the package. Like I said it wasn't difficult at all and took about 10 minutes.

 

Here is the link. Its pretty easy to do. The only tricky part is feeding the new antenna into the motor. Helps to have 2 people but it can be done by yourself. It took my like 5 or 6 tries to get it right. Just try to remember the way the teeth on the antenna mast cable came out of the motor.

Make sure the new and old cord lengths are the same. There's a good chance part of it's broken off in the motor asembly in which case you'll have to take it apart. Even so it's really easy to do. I got one off ebay for $20.
