Max Temp Of Engine & Calipers

What temp do the brake calipers get? What temp does the engine get? I ask becuase different spray paints have different temps. I want to spray them but want to be sure that the paint will hold up.

Depends on where you're painting. Upper intake manifold rarely over 150deg. Lower area and block 400deg. Exhaust manifold area I've seen 800+. Calipers never over 400 from autox. Inner rotors & hubs rarely over 500 from same. Does that help?

Do they have SUPER high temp paint anywhere? Me and a buddy got some white HELLA h3s, 5k,(9 pairs for $12) that we want to paint. We tried some 500degree engine paint but it burned off pretty fast.

They sell hey temp paint at most auto stores. Its good to 1200 but it needs to be properly cured. If its a rotor or something small it can be baked in the oven. If its exhaust it can be cured by driving the car. I just put the 1200 on my rotors and its fine. I went with 400 on the calipers because they don't seem as hot. They are also fine. Why do you wanna paint light bulbs? Or is it for the fixture?

We're experimenting, trying to make them give off a yellow light. It worked for the minute or so before the paint burned off. It was in the middle of the day and you could see the yellow.

Correction on my previous post. The lower temp paint is 500 degrees. I think a filter would be the best option to make a light yellow. They make flexible lens filters for camera's but I doubt its large enough unless you got a fairly small lens.
