think its a clutch problem

hey can anyone help me out
seems like my clutch is sticking and i have to step on the gas alot for the max to move , i have a 1997 se 5 speed with 148 000 miles and i think the clutch has never been changed, plz any input on this is greatly appreciated i am thinking the clutch is goin out

How's ur pedal workin? Is the clutch engaging/ disengaging only when the pedal is down to the floor, or is it around 3/4 of the way down? If it works when it's all the way to the floor than u have to change that clutch ASAP. Even if it's at 3/4 (like mines is), u should still change it since u'r experiencing trouble and u don't know if that clutch has ever been changed. Good luck on that, peace. Eddie
