Anyone ever heard of this???

Operating a business like Cattman Performance has its interesting moments, but sometimes its just bizarre...
Case in point. At my warehouse yesterday for a minute, call comes in and they give it to me.
Customer: Need to return an FSTB.
Me: OK, what's the problem.
Customer: Its bent and I'm sending it back for a refund.
Me: Bent? How?
Customer: I don't know how it bent, it supposed to prevent flexing isn't it? Must have flexed too much and bent.
Me: Hmmm... Where is it bent?
Customer: The bracket that bolts it down to the strut tower. Bent so bad the hood won't shut.
Me: [I'm trying to picture this, the bar has no moving parts and if the car had that much flexing movement and force across the tower bars it would twist itself apart if it wasn't on there.] I cannot even imagine how that could occur, I've sold hundreds of these things and read the messages of thousands of people who have them in their cars, and I have NEVER heard of anything like this.
Customer: [pause] Yeah, will there's always a first time.
Me: Well send it back and I promise that if I can figure out a way for a fixed bar like this to spontaneously bend at the bracket, up so far the hood wouldn't shut, I'll give you your money back.
Customer finishes up by threatening the nice lady who takes my orders when she gets on to give him the shipping address.
End of conversation.
Can anyone imagine how a bar would just bend like this? Think of the force and amount of actual movement that would be required to buckle one of those steel brackets.
I took a full side impact collision against the passenger door and engine compartment on my last maxima, totaling the thing out. Punched the axle through the transaxle, but arely bent one of the brackets on the side that the car was caved in. Didn't harm the bar itself, put it on the next car. I suspect that this is a similar situation, what else could it be? imagine somebody wrecking a car and trying to get a refund on a part.
Anyway, most customers are great, I've made many friends, but had to share this one with everybody.

bent FSTB?
3 possible senario's.
1. Accident with FSTB in
2. Improper install
3. car has possibly been in an accident before and wasn't repaired correctly. Therefore, bar wont fit.
Hope this helps. I would be intrested in a SS y also. Pricing?
