Tell that to the crappy drivers I beat at the track!
I have timeslips dude, the 4.6l GT ran a 16.319@88.19, I guess its all in the driver. If it was a 5.0, or an newer 4.6 then its fast.

A muscle car with a v6?! WTF was GM (or Ford) thinking? At least a Max is a family sedan.

Ok this makes sense to me

You are ignorant.... Go race a Grand Prix GTP with the L67 engine and its "crappy" american V6 will own you like theres no tomorrow... and the crappy grand national v6 will make you toss its salad as well.

fanboys...

Grand nationals, those things are fast. I'd thought about buying one for a while. But they're just so damn ugly. I wish buick would stick one of those engines into one of the newer cars.

And what does rwd have to do with launching? Its still 2 wheels so I dont see how it will get a jump.
That's pretty sad since my auto 96 killed my buddies 96 5spd v6 everytime.

Wow people who brag about v-6 stangs and camaros need their heads fixed. When i had my 1996 maxima with my intake and ram air from weapon r i raced some a@@hole at my gym in his 1998 v-6 camaro and beet him. He had a manual also with no mods.

lol. ok. your right. you got me. whenever you talk about cars you think of: n/a or boosted. maxima stock from factory comes... N/A. gtp....boosted. i think the new ones make 280 but i could be wrong but even still thats not impressive for a big v6 with a s/c. i like the gtp. i almost bought one until i realized a 2k2 is a much better car overall, not just engine-wise.

As for the GTP, you also have to remember that a stock GTP will keep up with/outrun a stock 5spd Maxima...so, no excuses
