after i installed my cold air intake my check engine came on....i went to autozone to check otut he problem and the little computer thing it was a air flow sensor thing that i forgot to plug in after installin intake...also it said there was somthing wrong with the knock sensor.....after he tested my car the engine light went off...he deleted the problems and the CEL doesnt turn on anymore....does that mean my knock sensor is ok now???

 

Knock sensor won't trip the CEL. Check codes for code 34. Here are the instructions http://vbxmaxima.8m.com/ecu.html.

 

yea my cel came on, checked it, got a 0304 and said its the knock sensor? so what gives?

yes it did, i also got 0707-rear o2 sensor- so thats why my cel came on.

 

It didn't say anything else? Like something that would cause the CEL. From everything I've heard the KS won't trigger the CEL and I know it didn't set mine off. Don't know why it would make yours go on.

 

darn this was supposed to be the perfect thread for me. my knock sensor is bad!lol also my tps needs to be replaced too any tips on replacing the knock or throttle position sensor? i hope to make a weekend out of it with my russian friends :P i took it to the suburu guy who used to own a nissan dealership//he wanted 8 hundy..so i bounced cost me under 300 so far for the parts..
