I want to customize the tail lights on my 95 but i don't want half red half clear. I either want to do All clear or All red except for the reverse light. Please give me your opinions. My car is white.

I think all clear looks really ugly, sorry. All red I've never seen, but can't imagine I'd like. If you're just trying to make it look different, which is understandable, I'd make some other aestheic mod, but that's just me. Just me.

Come to think of it, there are very few things I'd change on ANY maxima. i think they're gorgeous right out of the box...

heh, I read this post twice now... I forgot what the SUBJECT was...

{title: New question...please read}
{Suggested title: Customising my Tails, opinions?}

IMHO, its like this:

(scale 0-10, 10= excellent)

Clear/Red, 10
Clear/Yellow, 8
All clear, 2
All red, 7

All clears do kinda look funny. The red bulb underneath makes a pink light instead of a red one that makes it even worse at night. I wouldn't do it if I was you.

other options

I am not completely positive but in the Nopi catalog they send with all orders, on the back pages there is this place that will do custom lights for all cars, granted they say for offroad use only, but......looks like they got some Euros and some shades of blue....might be worth checking out....or calling about.

Wes- Don't listen to this guy. I'll show you mine at night, there is nothing pink about it. I bought red coated APC bulbs and they are as red as the 'Bloods' bandanas. There is a guy on the board that sells the red/clear lenses and he said he was going to try and make all clears. You should look out for him. I forgot his name but he'll surface if he gets them complete. There is a lot of interest in these lenses.

The parking lights look pink to me. The red you see was from the part that wasn't cleared out.

I assure you that there is nothing pink about the bulbs I have in my tails. If you're ever in So. Florida give me a ring and I'll be more than happy to show you.

You told Wes not to listen to me, that's why I posted the picture. All of the clear tails that I have seen in the NYMA have had the same pink/red look to them. If yours don't, good for you. Can you take a picture and post?

I had heard something about all clear tails that if you got hit in the rear end the person who hit you could claim that they didnt see your brakelights(because of the pinkness) and then getting rear-ended would be your fault.....is this true?....or just on a state to state basis, cause if so i would never get clears.

TIMEOUT

LIKE I SAID BEFORE, AS CUSTOM SAID TOO, THE BULBS WE HAVE IN OUR TAIL LIGHTS SHOW NO KIND OF PINK. I CHECKED IT AS SOON AS I INSTALLED MY LIGHTS TO MAKE SURE. YOU CAN'T EVEN TELL THEY'RE CLEARED AT NIGHT BECAUSE IT'S IDENTICAL TO THE INNER RED LIGHT.

THANKS
