foglights
Okay, so I have a 1996 gxe maxima, without fog lights. Recently I was involved in an accident and it crashed in my whole drivers side front bumper. It is being taken in tomorrow to get fixed, needing the bumper replaced. The lady called my mother and asked if my car had foglights because she needed to order a bumper. My mom didn't know and told the lady it did, and it doesn't. So I'm stoked on the idea that they are going to put in foglights on my car, can this be done? Can someone explain this process? I was told before that the maxima is designed so that fogs can easily be put in, but since I'm getting a new bumper, can they hook it up or will it be a problem and they'll have to order me a bumper without fogs? Thanks.

Yea it can be done no problem. The only issue is you have a GXE which does not come stock w/ fogs. Therefore you'll have to run the wires into a switch of your own. I did it when I had my 3rd gen.

Well, when they go to put the lights in they're going to realize that there are no wires run to the location or a switch inside the car, so they're going to figure it out. But you could always just let them put that bumper on, and put the fogs in yourself.

Well i have the turn signal with the foglight switch if they decide to install them, if i were u id also do the conversion, at least start with the bumper and grill cause those parts you have to paint. Then the lights, if not being repaired, u can replace on your own later.
