**95 to 97 conversion Foglamps**

i am converting my 95 maxima front end to 97 max, i just ordered factory fog lamps with brackets, i already bought the bumper , but i noticed it had a piece of plastic going thru the hole where the fog lamp goes..... do i just remove the strip of plastic???? where does the bracket mount to, is there suppose to be holes in the bumper or do they make an aftermarket bumper for 97 maxima with fog lights???
has anyone did this part of the conversion before

There is a seperate bumper for the 97 with fog lights as that same idea goes for the 95 bumpers. You purchased the 97 w/o fog light bumper.

i dont think they had a choice, with 95 bumper they had a choice, but with 97 i think u can just break off the strip of plastic, but there is no screw holes for the fog lites

The screw holes for hte 97-99 are in the metal part of the bumper. They are not in teh bumper cover.

Once you take the bumper off you'll see that there are 3 holes in the bumper support frame, I dunno what to call it, this is where the bracket will attach to. The hole pattern on the bracket on the 97-99 should be the same as the 95-96, as many people have done this conversion

how are you going to switch the fog lights on and off? i have amax96 gxe and theres no switch for foglights...as far as i know..i have def. thought about getting fog lights though mine as well upgrade to either 97 bumper primed with fog light holes or else just get a "m" bumper like me :P

nismo_SHA i am not worried about the wiring, i will wire them right into the parking light with a relay, they will go on whenever i turn the parking lights on......

i will def hook u up on the info, the wiring part is the easy part for me, i will tap into the small side marker the light in the bumper cover, or maybe the cornering lite, then hook that wire up to a relay so that when the parking lites go on, the fog lites will tooo, they wont have an indepent switch.........
