My WarpSpeed Y-Pipe STORY. (GOOD ONE)

So today I finally had a chance to take my Max to the shop I go to. They installed new O2 sensors and my Y-pipe, yah too birds with one stone.

They said that the Y-Pipe was really hard to get off , had to heat and cut out the bolts but they said it fit up good. I picked it up and all I have is a slight growl. No bees in the can, no ratteling, no noise at all. I drove the car on the mini expressway here and it got up and flew. Its nice.

Definetly worth the money, Unfortunetly it was expensive for them to put it on,
Other than that it is an awesome addition to the car.

Id suggest it to anyone but make sure you got somebody who knows how to put it on cause I have no issue with mine at all.

Going back to drive it some more

you should have tried to DIY. then if you got stuck with one or two bolts to be removed the mechanic would be alot cheaper.

Yes I felt the same thing when I got to the HW with the new pipe. have fun.

i got 6 of the bolts off from the engine but couldn't get the bolts off from the cat so I went to a shop and he quoted me 50 bucks for 2 bolts. i said **** off and then cut the bolts off, drilled and torqued them off with the help of my gf's cousin. But it was worth it in the end. That's 50 bucks saved.

taking off the stock y-pipe was a pain in the ****. especially the inner 14mm bolt on the rear header was like nearly impossible to get it off. i had to work with some extentions and pivot wrench to get it off. other than that, the rest was cake.

Does the y-pipe make the car have a growl?....I would like to do a performance mod, but I still want a sileeent car.

It'll make it slightly louder and you'll also hear a little hiss due to the removal of the precats.

it is pretty insignificant... give it like 3 or 4 days of driving and you won't even notice it anymore. DEFINATELY worth the 160 bucks and the DIY install price

As long as you keep the OEM muffler (and cat) you will most likely not notice the difference. I am VERY picky about sound levels in my car, and even with a nonresonated B and Y pipe, I barely hear anything. My wife- who is an even MORE harsh critic- says that is sounds as quiet as stock but with a more deep tone. At highway speeds, it is entirely imperceivable.
