New maxima owner with gen. question
As of tomorrow I will be the owner of a 99 maxima gle, surprisingly a car I've wanted since high school. Anyway, I bought it at 80k and I don't have any service receipts. What are the main things I should check for? What's considered wear and tear? and Is the accelerator supposed to be so tough to accelerate in the beginning? I'm used to driving my civic and it felt weird that the gas pedal was hard to press and accelerate. Thanks for all replies and suggestions in advance.

DO NOT buy it till you get a car fax, a mechanics report, and got a second opinion.
Most dealerships are doing free inspections, go check it out. It should not be a rough accleration. Harder than your civic but not rough.

Start with some some basic tune-up work like a throttle body/IAC valve cleaning, replace air filter, replace fuel filter, replace spark plugs (check to see if they need replacement - should have been replaced at 60k)... that should get you going...
Enjoy your new ride.

Stillen Intake OR K&N Intake ..
I heard the filter that comes with Stillen is the same thing as K&N, but I haven't had enough time to look up the forums about it.
