Oil light

Oil light
Yeah, I changed my oil yesterday (like I do all the time), everything was right (oil level seems to ait right in the middle of the marks, this time I only put in 4 quarts of oil, last time I had just a bit more). So today in the morning I go to start up my car and for some reason the oil light blinks at me twice and goes off. I was wondering is that normal, or what do you suggest I do? It only does it if the car has been sitting in one spot for a long time.
Also one of my idiot friends decided to pull 02 sensor plug while I was away to scare me, so now I have CEL for 500 miles.

check the oil level just to make sure its ok, then run it to see if it still does it. if its sitting for a couple of days I wouldnt worry about it, as long as it goes out a second or two after you start it.
after that reset your ecu. then find a large hard object, with a good feel and balance. then go over to your friend and procede to beat his *** for messing with your car.

After you finish beating up your friend, follow these instructions to reset your ECU:

As 96maxdaddy said, as long as the oil light is only on for a moment when you first start the car - its fine.
Btw, which brand oil filter did you use?

I used fram oil filter (I always use it easier to take off), the thing is I don't think that light never came on for the whole time that I owned the car, maybe the CEL is messing with it?
I would really hate to spend tons of time replacing my motor if the oil pump goes bad or something, I do it enough as it is.

Right after each oil change, my oil low-pressure light comes on for a second or so until the oil pressure builds up again... this is normal.. some people fill the oil filter slightly with oil to minimize the time it takes to regain oil pressure. I do not do this... maybe I should be.
Anyway... If the dipstick shows that there is the right amount of oil, and the oil light only lights momentarily when you first start the car then I think its normal. If you see the light turn on while driving or idling etc. then you may have issues with the oil pump or the oil pressure sending unit.
The reason I asked about which filter you were using, is that some filters have better anti-drainback valves... but you have had good luck with the Fram filters so that is probably not the issue (unless you got one with a bad valve this time).
Just keep an eye on the oil level (via the dipstick for a few days)...
