I'm new at this. What is a CEL? The only thing no longer connected from the factory intake system is a small piece that was connected to the airbox. I don't know where this piece goes. All the other tubes and connectors are attached.
Thanks!

CEL = Check Engine Light. You can check your own codes. Look at the CEL sticky at the top of the forum. While you're at it, read the FAQs and How To's
Yep! You have to remove that sensor from the intake box and zip tie it somewhere near the CAI. If you look at the link I posted, near the bottom of the page it says:
So do that and reset your CEL (look at the sticky post at the top of the forum - it tells you how to check the codes and how to reset). Don't leave it dangling, just zip tie it somewhere.

Now you'll find a plug that does not have anything to plug into. Inside the air box you'll see a sensor. You need to remove that sensor by unscrewing the two small Phillip's screws. Once the piece is removed you can attach the connectors together and leave the piece dangling in the engine bay. I'm pretty sure it is just an air temperature sensor. Thus, it will get a semi-accurate read by just being in the engine bay. I used tie-wraps to prevent it from moving.
